ROADS ACT 1993 TO 2015– SECTION 75
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CHURCH ROAD, SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN

An application has been received from Gas Networks Ireland, for permission to temporarily close Church Road (between the junction at Brackenstown Road and the junction of Bridge Street), Swords, Co. Dublin, to facilitate a gas connection. It is proposed the road will be closed from 8.00am to 7.00pm on Wednesday 24th April until Friday 26th April 2019 and 9.00am to 1.00pm Saturday 27th April 2019.

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:
• Motorists travelling from the Brackenstown Road and wish to access Bridge Street should take a right at the junction with Church Road and continue along Church Road to the junction with the Dublin Road. Take a left turn on to the Dublin road, continue through Swords Main Street and turn left on to Bridge Street.
• Motorists travelling from the Dublin Road to Church Road and wish to access the R125 Rathbeale Road should turn left at the junction with the Brackenstown Road. Continue until the junction with Brackenstown Avenue and take a right turn and continue along Brackenstown Avenue to access the R125 Rathbeale Road.

Local Access will be maintained at all times.


Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm Friday 29th March 2019.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road
Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
