ROADS BETWEEN DUBLIN ROAD AND COAST AT BARNAGEERAGH, SKERRIES, Co. DUBLIN

NON-STATUTORY PUBLIC CONSULTATION

The final section of the Distributor Road, connecting the coast at Barnageeragh and Dublin Road, Skerries is currently under construction and scheduled for completion in 2018.

The existing road is referred to as three different names, as follows:

1. L1357 Townparks Distributor Road

2. L14012 Kelly’s Bay Distributor Road

3. L14013 Distributor Road

Additionally, the section of the L1357, from the railway line to the coast at Northcliffe Heights is known as “Northcliffe Heights.”

With the impending completion of the final section of the Distributor Road, it is considered to be appropriate to consolidate the names of the road network in the area.

Notice is hereby given that Fingal County Council, as Local Authority for the administrative area of the County of Fingal, intends to make an order that the entire length of the Distributor Road from Dublin Road to the coast should be formally called “Barnageeragh Road.”  It is also proposed to formally name the section of the L1357 from the railway line to the coast at Northcliffe Heights “Harrison’s Bay Road.”

This proposal can be viewed online at this consultations portal.

Objections or representations regarding this naming proposal may be made in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Fingal County Council, Operations Department, Balbriggan/Swords Area, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, not later than 4.30pm on Friday 16th February 2018.
