TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF A NUMBER OF ROADS IN SWORDS TO FACILITATE ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE ON FRIDAY 17TH MARCH 2023
Fingal County Council Events Unit proposes to hold a St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Swords Co. Dublin on Friday 17th March 2023, and to facilitate the parade route, it is proposed to temporarily close a number of roads at the locations listed below:-

Initial road closure of main street between Malahide Road junction and Bridge Street junction will commence at 06:00hrs with the exception of local access and Dublin Bus. This zone will stop all vehicle movement from 08:00hrs and will consult with the Dublin Bus inspector when doing so.
Dublin Road, Main Street, North Street and Chapel Lane will all be fully closed to any vehicles, save that involved in the parade or emergency vehicles.
Local access only from the Pinnock Hill Roundabout, the Seatown Road Roundabout and the Estuary Roundabout on the R132 up to but not including the Main Street; from Rathbeale Road to Castle Shopping Centre.
Local restrictions may be in place from Thursday 16th March 2023 to permit route and viewing platforms set-up. Route diversions will be in place from early morning on 17th March 2023.
Locally arranged St. Patrick’s Day Parades will also be hosted by Community Groups throughout Fingal. Details will be advertised separately.

These are also available for inspection at Council offices during normal working hours.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times, and local access will be facilitated on a rolling basis.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Administrative Officer, (St. Patrick’s Day Parades), Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 5pm Wednesday 1st March 2023.
