TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PALMER ROAD RUSH CO DUBLIN 

An application has been received from Arkmount Construction, for permission to temporarily close Palmer Road Rush Co. Dublin, for the installation of Foul and storm drainage.  It is proposed that the road will be closed 24 hours per day from 13th February to 17th February 2023. 

The permitted working hours are between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel: 

Eastbound traffic: Traffic approaching Palmer Rd / Park Rd junction will be informed to divert southbound to Park Road until Knightsgate Ave junction, where they will take a left and then left again to Upper Main St/R128. Traffic will continue the path of Upper Main St/R128 then turning left to Skerries Rd/R128 at the junction with Mc Cabe’s Pharmacy. Traffic will continue this road, following the diversion signs until directed left to Palmer Road, ending their diversion route. 

Westbound traffic: Traffic will be informed to divert southbound at Palmer Rd junction with Skerries Rd/R128 and continue on R128 as the road is turning right at the junction with Mc Cabe’s Pharmacy. Traffic continues on Upper Main St/R128 until to Kenure Park where traffic will be directed to take right to Park Rd and another right immediately at the traffic lights junction to continue on Park Rd. Traffic to continue northbound, following the diversion signs until they’re passing St Maur’s GAA club where the diversion route ends, choosing to go at any direction at the junction with Palmer Road.  

 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon Friday 27th January 2023.
