PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF THE DRUMNIGH ROAD – R124.

An application has been made by Fingal County Council Operation’s Department for permission to temporarily close Drumnigh Road - R124 from the junction of Blackwood Lane (Southern side) to the junction of Chapel Road (Northern side).

The purpose of this closure is to facilitate road resurfacing works.

The period of the proposed temporary road closure will be from 08.00 Monday, 27th June 2022 to 18.00 Friday, 8th July 2022.

The alternative route for traffic travelling between these junctions during the proposed closure is as follows:

  • Access to/from Blackwood Lane will be accessible from the Drumnigh Road (Northern side).
  • Access to/from Chapel Road will be accessible from the Drumnigh Road (Southern side).

Local access will be provided for residents over the periods of the proposed closures.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Howth Malahide Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 16.00 on Monday, 6th June 2022.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

 Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
