Proposed Temporary Closure of a section of Back Road, Malahide, Co. Dublin
ROADS ACT 1993 TO 2015 – SECTION 75
PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF A SECTION OF BACK ROAD, MALAHIDE, CO. DUBLIN.
An application has been received from John Cradock Ltd. on behalf of Irish Water
for permission to temporarily close a section of Back Road, Malahide, Co. Dublin.
It is proposed that the road will be closed at the Railway Bridge, between
Castlefield Manor and the Demesne Carpark from 08.00 Monday, 10th May
to 17.00 Monday, 17th May 2021.
The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the installation of a combination of power
cables and a 400mm piped watermain.
The alternative routes for traffic travelling in the area during the proposed closure
are as follows:

Local access will be provided over the period of the proposed closure and access open to the Demesne Carpark from the R107 Malahide Road / Back Road junction only.
Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal,
at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Staff Officer, Howth Malahide
Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15,
to arrive no later than 16.00 Monday, 19th April 2021.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the
Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory
report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.
Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
