TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SEATOWN ROAD, SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN
Fingal County Council propose to temporarily close Seatown Road from the Junction of St Columcille's Drive/Seatown Road to the Junction of North Street/Seatown Road. (2 arms of St Columcille's Drive/Seatown Road junction will be operational)
The temporary road closure is to facilitate construction of the Swords Cultural Quarter, Public Realm & Residential Development at Seatown, Co Dublin.
The period of the proposed temporary road closure is from 8.00am on 1st July 2024 to 5.00pm on 30th June 2026.
The alternative routes for traffic travelling in the area during the proposed temporary closure are as follows:

Diverted west-bound traffic Access to North Street / Main Street from Seatown Road
West-bound traffic on Seatown Road open section will be diverted via left turn onto St. Columcille's Drive, turning right onto Chapel Lane, turning left only (No Right Turn) on Main Street, travelling south-bound then turning right onto Church Road, right onto Rathbeale Road and continuing on Bridge Street. End of detour. (Then right onto Main Street or left onto North Street)

North-bound traffic on North Street wishing to travel to open section of Seatown Road will be diverted via North Street, turning right onto Castlegrange Road (R125), turning right at Estuary Roundabout, continue southwards on Swords Bypass (R132) and turn right at Seatown Road Roundabout. Diversion at Seatown Road Roundabout, travel north via Swords Bypass (R132), turning left at Estuary Roundabout onto Castlegrange Road (R125), turning left onto Watery Lane and turning left onto Bridge Street. End of detour. (Then right onto Main Street or left onto North Street)
HGV Diversion Route 2:
East-bound HGVs
Access for HGVs travelling from North Street / Main Street. HGVs eliminated from travelling eastbound on Seatown Road
Diversion via Bridge Street, turning right onto Watery Lane, turning right onto Castlegrange Road (R125), turning right at Estuary Roundabout onto Swords Bypass (R132), travelling south to Seatown Road Roundabout, continuing south on Swords Bypass (R132). End of detour.
Please note, NO access for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles will be provided along or through the closed section of Seatown Road. This is required by the Project Department to facilitate the method of construction.

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
