Proposed refurbishment of The Old Courthouse (a protected structure RPS no 567) for community use and change of use as a tourist office, including development of a new external landscaped entry court and all associated services and siteworks at Harbour Road, Howth, Dublin13. D13 AE22


In accordance with Part XI of the Local Government Planning and Development Act 2000 to 2015 and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 - 2015, Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of the proposed works to be carried out at the above site:


Fingal County Council (Economic Enterprise & Tourism Department) is proposing to refurbish and redevelop The Old Courthouse on lands of 0.019 Ha approx. between Harbour Road and Church Street, Howth, Dublin 13.


The proposal for the building includes minor alterations to the existing internal layout and the development of a new entry courtyard area to facilitate universal access. A public tourist office will be accommodated and the larger room will continue in use for flexible community use with improved public access.


The proposal includes all associated services upgrades and site development works including new external signage, drainage, site lighting, site landscaping, and new boundary treatments.

As required by Article 81 of the 2001 Regulations and amended by Article 17(2) of the 2006 Regulations, plans and particulars of the development will be available for inspection from Thursday 8th March 2018, to Thursday 19th April 2018 at: The Offices of Fingal County Council, County Hall, Main Street, Swords, Co. Dublin K67 X8Y2 between the hours of 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Mon-Fri (excluding Bank & Public Holidays) and Howth Library, Main Street, Howth, Dublin 13 D13 VY50

All comments, including the names and addresses of those making comments,submitted to the Council in regard to this development will form part of the
statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal CountyCouncil. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and
consequently will appear on the Council’s Website.
