NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT, 2000 (as amended)
PART 8 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001 (as amended)
PROPOSED PROVISION OF ALL-WEATHER RUNNING TRACK AND SPORTS PITCH AT PORTERSTOWN PARK, DUBLIN 15

In accordance with Part XI of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of the proposed works to be carried out at the above site. The proposal, which accords with the Development Plan policy and zoning objectives for the site, includes the following:

• A 6 Lane 400 Metre All-weather Running Track
• A 3rd Generation All-Weather Multi-functional Sports Pitch (Playing surface 100M * 64M)
• 8 No. 15 Metre high LED Floodlights to light both the running track and sports pitch
• 4 No. Car Parking Spaces reserved for people with Special Needs located beside the facility
• A 1.5M high perimeter fence surrounding the track with 3 No. entrances (including 2 No. Vehicular Entrances)
• Approximately 1,500 meters of 2.5M wide bound surfaced paths to service the new facilities
• Earthen Berms incorporating the excess of excavated material from the construction of the pitch and running track located within the development site will be graded to complement the landscape setting of the facilities.

The proposed works will take place at Porterstown Park, Porterstown Road, Dublin 15.
In accordance with Article 81 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001-2018, Fingal County Council has concluded from a preliminary examination that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required. Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment
Plans & particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy thereof from Tuesday 5th February to Wednesday 6th March 2019 at:

Fingal County Council Offices, County Hall, Swords, Co. Dublin Offices from Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm (open through lunch).
Fingal County Council, Civic Offices, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 from Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm (open through lunch).

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development is situated may be made in writing to:-

All Submissions including names and addresses of those making submissions to the Council in regard to this Part 8 consultation will form part of the Statutory Report to be presented to a meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly the Statutory Report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed facilities in accordance with the regulations of the Planning and Development Acts. The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of the individual or bodies will appear on the Statutory Report and minutes of the meeting. Details including the names of those making submissions may be shared with relevant Council Departments or their agents involved in this Part 8 process.
