Fingal County Council in partnership with Meath County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) is at Phase 2 - Options Selection of the design process for the N3 M50 to Clonee Bus Priority and Active Travel Scheme from Junction 2 (Snugborough) to Junction 4b (Clonee).
The scheme proposals include bus priority measures, active travel bridge infrastructure and improved connectivity including connections to the BusConnects Core Bus Corridor (CBC) Scheme.
Why is the scheme needed?
To enhance public transport by reducing bus journey times and improving journey time reliability.
To provide a safer, more active and sustainable travel option.
To improve connectivity in the area through improved walking and cycling infrastructure across the N3.

Hard copies of the scheme information will be available to view at the Blanchardstown Library, The Civic Centre, Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15 (D15 RY73) during the in-person consultation event on the 28 April 2026 and also at Meath County Council Offices Dunshauglin, Drumree Rd, Dunshauglin, Co. Meath (A85 XK20) on the 29 April 2026.

Fingal County Council is organising an in-person public consultation event to view and comment on the Emerging Preferred Option in the Blanchardstown Library, The Civic Centre, Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15 between 4pm – 7:30pm on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.
Meath County Council is also organising an in-person public consultation event to view and comment on the Emerging Preferred Route in Meath County Council Offices Dunshaughlin, Drumree Rd, Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, A85 XK20 between 4pm – 7:30pm on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.

A non-statutory consultation will take place from Monday 20 April 2026 until Monday 18 May 2026 for postal and online submissions.
By post to the Senior Executive Officer, Planning and Strategic Infrastructure Department, Fingal County Council, County Hall, Main Street, Swords, Co Dublin, K67 X8Y2.
Please make your submission by one means only. Be advised that all submissions will be published. Please do not include personal information such as your address or contact details in your submission. If you do, these will be removed in the moderation process prior to publication.
Next steps
Upon completion of this consultation process, informed by the submissions made by public and stakeholders, the design of the scheme will progress to the next phase.
