Fingal County Council has prepared a Draft Tree Strategy:

“The Forest of Fingal, A Tree Strategy for Fingal”

 

It is now proposed to provide the public an opportunity to have their say on this document through a Non-statutory Consultation Process as follows:

 

The Draft Tree Strategy “The Forest of Fingal, A Tree Strategy for Fingal”

comprises of an Executive Summary and Written Statement set out in Five “Parts” for ease of reference. To make a submission on this Draft Strategy you can access each “Part” of the document in turn and you can then express your level of agreement with its contents and/or comment on the document.   An option to make general observations in relation to Fingal’s Trees is also available.  Following this, a revised strategy document will be presented to the Council for formal adoption.

 

To make a submission, at the end of each “Part” of the document you will be requested to indicate your level of agreement with the information provided as follows:

Any submission or observation shall state your name, address and where relevant, the body or organisation represented. Children or groups or associations representing the interests of children are entitled to make submissions or observations to the proposed Draft Tree Strategy.  All submissions or observations made from Thursday 1st October 2020 and received by 5pm on Sunday 28th March 2021 with respect to the Draft Tree Strategy will be taken into consideration by the Council. Details including the names of those making submissions or observations may also be shared with relevant Council Departments and agents working on their behalf and may be included in the minutes of Council Meetings and subsequently published on the Fingal County Council Website.
