Primary tabs

Fingal County Council is progressing a park development plan to guide the future development of Bremore Regional Park, Balbriggan, North County Dublin. The primary objective is to develop a 20 year Park Develop Plan and reach consensus with stakeholders to deliver a sustainable vision for Bremore Regional Park in the face population growth and increasing levels of community participation in active leisure. A key feature of the proposed Park Development Plan is the consideration of the Visual, Historic and Ecological attributes of the site. The proposed plan includes proposals formulated to achieve the best fit between these unique characteristics of the site and provision of active recreation and linkages to Bremore Castle and surrounding residential areas.

Stakeholder and public engagement is fundamental to the project. Two public consultation workshops have been held to date to enable the myriad of concerns, challenges and opportunities to be heard, taken on board and balanced through a proposal that aims to achieve consensus. Following on from the most recent information evening,  the council actively encourages feedback and comment on the proposed Park Development Plan through the consultation portal to ensure the proposals address and provide a balanced response to the challenges & opportunities  while recognising and cultivating the unique character and context of the area.
